NDA-SCHOOL INTEGRATED PROGRAM (NDA-SIP)

NDA-SIP Program Details:

NDA SIP (School Integrated Program) is a two-year classroom program for NDA With School, NDA After 10th and NDA with 11th, NDA With 12th students. Admission to this program is strictly through the DCG School talent hunt admission test only. In this course, students are taught for two years class XI and class XII with Non-Med (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Physical Education subjects) only, during which we prepare them for NDA Written, Physical, Board exams, and SSB interviews. Students with good academic performance are also prepared for Olympiads & Engineering (JEE Main & Advanced) entrance exams simultaneously. Inboard exams DCG aim our students to score more than 85% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics which enables them to appear directly for Technical Entry Scheme TES-SSB interview. In class XI students are taught Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics besides a weekly class dedicated to Personality Development & communication skills. Regular Psychology classes are also conducted to prepare them for SSB interviews. In class XII besides Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics students are taught English, General Awareness, and Science as per the syllabus prescribed by UPSC until NDA written exam is concluded. After the written exam focus again shifts to the Board exam, SSB interview, and preparation for JEE (Main & Advance). We are working on the concept that “The true education is not merely teaching but extracting the best from the learner’s mind”. Weekly tests are conducted to monitor the academic performance and growth of the student.

Hostel Facilities & Utilities


DCG School provides fully air-conditioned hostel facility for boys. Out of station/ NDA SIP, students can avail this service under the supervision of warden. We stand aloft among its counterparts to provide all Hostetler a sense of an extended family while living in the campus. We provide warm, affectionate environment and helps the young minds to develop academically, socially, physically and emotionally.

Sports Activities


There is a sports ground for the training of trainee. Students apart from coaching classes, provided training to make them physically fit. Candidates appearing under NDA-SIP gets the special slot between their timetables for various games. These classes help them in clearing Defence Exam. For the other students getting training for the various competitive exam are also encouraged to take part in sports activities.

Computer Lab


The Computer lab has latest application software to facilitate learning. Skilled staff having the latest knowledge of Computers is available for training the Students. The subject introduced as a socially useful and productive work experience will enable them to get familiar with the usage and application of this versatile tool. Through a series of online Mock tests students can clear their written exam easily with a least time.

Library


We have a well-stocked library with a good collection of books for various exams. Encyclopedias and Encyclopedic dictionaries on various subjects are available in the library for reference only. The students can avail themselves of extensive and up to date reference facilities. Students are expected to behave in a responsible manner.

PROGRAM FOCUS & OBJECTIVES:

Excellence in NDA: Emphasis on making the students imbibe the fundamental concepts of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, GK, English and on sharpening their analytical skills and parallel thinking process which makes them capable of creatively resolving complex and tricky problems by mere application of basic concepts for a quantum jump in their performance in NDA Preparation after 10th. Each student has the right strategy for himself /herself for TIME MANAGEMENT to ensure optimum output. This enables the students to excel not only in NDA but also in XII Board Exams.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  • Advertisement inviting applications from candidates will be published in all leading newspapers in Jan.
  • Applications to be forwarded online by the first week of Jan. For exact date please refer to advertisement.
  • The entrance test to be held in March & April.
  • A merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance test.
  • Candidates who do well in the academic merit list will be called for an interview on the same Day.
  • Medical examination.
  • Final merit list will be prepared and call letters issued to selected candidates.
  • Selected candidates will be required to join the institute in April.

NDA Exam Pattern

Check below complete details about NDA Exam pattern & marking scheme:
  • Mode of Exam: The paper will be held in offline (pen and paper) mode.
  • Number of Sections: In the paper, there will be two sections – Mathematics & General Ability.
  • Exam Duration: Candidates will be given 5 hours to complete the paper (2 hours 30 minutes each for Mathematics and GA section).
  • Questions type: There will be objective type of questions in the paper.
  • Paper Language: The paper will be bilingual – in English as well Hindi language.
  • Marking pattern: For each wrong answer, 33% of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted.

NDA Syllabus

Paper I (Code No – 01) – Mathematics:

Matrices & Determinants, Analytical Geometry of two and three Dimensions, Integral calculus and Differential Equations, Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability, Differential Calculus, Vector Algebra, etc.

Paper II (Code No – 02) – English & General knowledge:

Part A: English:

The question paper of English will be designed for testing the students understanding of English and workman like use of words. The syllabus covers various aspects like: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension and usage and cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English.

Part B: General Knowledge:

The paper of General Knowledge in NDA will cover various topics from the subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Social Studies, General Science, and Geography & Current Events.
